If it is true that loving wine is the least selfish of pleasures, then it is also true that one doesn't have to be of an introverted or solitary nature in order to establish a vineyard. When I decided to create a huge estate in the midst of the Médoc, I had in mind that my passion for wine should be accessible to all.
Wine is a living entity and at all its stages of development it expresses life’s complexity: from the vine’s vegetative cycle, through vinification (isn’t the fermentation process itself one of life’s mysteries?), to the life of those who make wine. I wanted to share all these stages with you. Continuity is the true sign of life, like a chain whose links are never broken. Our winemaking is a series of operations which only achieve their ultimate aim when this Bordeaux wine, produced with so much patience, gently caresses your palate.
